Who are the Natural Stone Institute?
The Natural Stone Institute was formed as a merger between the Building Stone Institute and the Marble Institute of America, in 2018. This trade association represents every aspect of the natural stone industry, with membership numbers exceeding 2,000, in over 50 countries.
The Building Stone Institute was formed in 1894.
The Marble Institute of America was formed in 1955.
What does the Natural Stone Institute provide?
It offers its members a wide array of technical and training resources to ensure the best practices and use of natural stones are available. It also has two publications – the Dimension Stone Design Manual and Building Stone Magazine, which are designed for the natural stone industry and design community.
There are 4 different membership categories: Active Member, Associate, Branch Member & Individual.
As an active member, you are actively engaged in quarrying, manufacturing, producing, finishing, fabricating, exporting, importing, sourcing, installing or restoring natural stone. At Ramsey Stone Consultants we have been an Active Member since its inception in 2018.
